Your Eastern Himalayan adventure begins tonight. At 10:00 PM, you will board the comfortable Shyamoli Paribahan Sleeper Class bus from Dhaka. You will spend the night relaxing on the bus as you travel toward the Indian border.
You are scheduled to arrive in Siliguri at approximately 10:00 AM. Our dedicated representative will be waiting to warmly welcome you at the Siliguri Bus Station (or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station). Subsequently, you will be seamlessly transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest, recover from the long journey, and prepare for the hill station adventure ahead.
After a refreshing breakfast, our representative will assist you with your transfer to Gangtok, the mesmerizing capital of Sikkim. Situated at an altitude of 1,670 meters (5,480 feet), this 3.5 to 4-hour scenic drive transports you into a land of mystic rituals, monasteries, and vibrant orchids. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel. In the evening, you are free to roam around the famous M G Road (Mall) or explore the local shopping centers.
Following an early morning breakfast, your guided local sightseeing tour of Gangtok begins. Today’s dynamic schedule includes visits to the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, the cascading Bakthang Waterfalls, the peaceful Gonjang Monastery, and the breathtaking Tashi Viewpoint. Additionally, you will explore the Plant Conservatory, Lhasa Waterfalls, and Ganesh Tok. After completing the tour, the rest of the day is free for your own leisure activities.
Enjoy your morning breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Today, we proceed to Pelling, embarking on a picturesque 3.5 to 4-hour drive. Situated at an altitude of 2,072 meters (6,800 feet), Pelling offers magnificent, unobstructed views of the snow-capped Himalayan ranges, including Mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, and Khangchendzonga (on clear days). Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel. You will have the evening free to stroll around this small, exotic settlement and take in the awe-inspiring deep valleys.
After breakfast, we will drive out for a full day of sightseeing through richly forested routes. Your visits today include the Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi Rock Garden, and the sacred Kechopalri Lake—a holy Buddhist site where legend says any wish made comes true, and birds magically keep the water free of fallen leaves. Next, we will explore the Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, Pemayangtse Monastery, and the historical Rabdantse ruins, which offer mystic views of the Kanchendzonga ranges. Finally, we will return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
Early this morning, after breakfast, your driver will assist you with the forwarding journey to Darjeeling. This 2.5 to 3-hour drive takes you to an elevation of 2,123 meters (7,001 feet). Known globally as the "Queen of the Hills," Darjeeling is crowned by majestic tea gardens and offers spectacular views of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchendzonga. After checking into your hotel, you can spend the evening taking a leisurely stroll to the Mall or Shrubbery Park.
Before dawn, we will drive through primitive forests up to 2,440 meters to reach Tiger Hill (subject to ticket availability) for a world-famous sunrise. Afterward, the major sightseeing tour continues with visits to Ghoom Monastery, the Batasia Loop, and the War Memorial. Later in the day, you will visit Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, the Japanese Temple, the Peace Pagoda, lush tea gardens, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy independently.
Following breakfast, we will drive to the quieter, milder destination of Kalimpong. Situated in the Himalayan foothills at an elevation of 1,243 meters (4,078 feet), this peaceful hill station buzzes with heritage and spectacular views. After checking into your hotel, your evening is entirely free to stroll around the Kalimpong bazaar to shop for local handicrafts, relics, and souvenirs.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out to explore Kalimpong's pleasant landscapes. Today, you will visit the Zang Dhok Palri (Durpin Monastery), the Army Golf Course, local flower nurseries, Deollo Hill, Hanuman Tok, and Dr. Graham's Homes (a historic heritage school). You can spend a relaxing 2 to 3 hours exploring these sites before enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant like The Orchid.
Enjoy your final early morning breakfast in the hills. Afterward, we will drive you back down to Siliguri. You will be dropped off at the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or the Siliguri Bus Station in time to catch your return bus journey back to Dhaka, bringing your beautiful Eastern Himalayan adventure to a close.
